• Growing Fruit & Vegetables Today we want to know what we are putting into our bodies. The only way to ensure that is to grow our own food, ensuring nutrient-rich fruit and vegetables.
  
  Course content: Principles of vegetable gardening, site preparation, how to prepare the beds, growing in pots, and management, soil preparation and feeding, growing different vegetable crops, site selection and preparation for growing fruit trees, fruit tree production, and growing different fruits.

• Introduction to Flower Arranging An introductory course that covers the basic standard shapes and styles of flower arrangements. This course is aimed at anyone who has not done flower arranging before and wants to start at the beginning. Getting the basics right is important; from the container to the choice of flower for the right occasion will be discussed in this course. Price is R2530.00 which includes 600.00 worth of flowers

• Pruning of Plants Pruning and shaping of plants ensure rejuvenation and ensure that plants are healthy. This is an art form, and it is key to get it right.
  
  Course content: Introduction to pruning, tools for pruning, reasons to prune, basics of pruning, when to prune, different plants to prune and when, shaping hedges, pruning roses, and pruning fruit trees.

• Irrigation Design This is the big leagues. If you have worked with irrigation systems before and have a Grade 12 matric certificate with a good maths component, then this is your course. The price is R4255.00 with drawing equipment included.
  
  Drawing to scale using a scale rule and a compass. Getting to know your site and working out your water pressure. A look at drip and porous irrigation systems. Drawing up an accurate irrigation design drawing. Determining sprinkler head coverage. Determining the size of pipes to use.
  
  Determining the number of zones. Finding a place for the valves and the manifold. Electrical installation for an automatic system. Maintenance of an irrigation system. Watering seasonal adjustments. Rainfall patterns. Climate. Fertigation.
